A super easy, soft, light and fluffy flatbread recipe that is really simple and easy to make. We serve it at our restaurant as a snack with some delicious dips. On this website you will find some delicious dips too to go with your flatbread!
VEGAN FLATBREAD
Prep : 20 min Cook: 25-30 minutes Ready in: 1 hour Makes: 8 flatbreads
INGREDIENTS
4 tablespoons yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup warm water
2 1/2 cup flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
EQUIPMENT
2 bowls
Baking pan
Whisk
Spatula
Measuring cups
Rolling pin
PREPARATION
There is no real preparation for this recipe. You just start and make the dough and bake your flatbreads!
METHOD
In a bowl: mix the sugar, yeast and warm water.
Whisk together and let stand apart for 10 minutes
Second bowl: mix the flour, the oil and salt.
After 10 minutes add the yeast mix to the dry ingredients.
Mix well and kneed until you have a nice dough.
Let it stand for 5 minutes
After 5 minutes: divide the dough in 8 balls of dough
Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough (use flour to prevent sticking) in nice flat breads
Heat a skillet on a medium high heat
Bake the flat breads for ca. 2 minutes (it starts to form air bubbles) and flip it over, bake the other side for 1 more minute
