The plant grows alongside the road at the entrance of TCDF Eco-Logic.
Ipomoea obscura is an annual or perennial herb with slender, twining or prostrate stems up to 3 meters long and 2cm in diameter. Common names are : Obscure Morning Glory, Small White Morning Glory Wild petunia, Yellow ipomoea and Wild morning glory. The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a food and medicine.
The morning glory blooms at the beginning of the dry season (February - March)

THE LEAVES
The leaves of the Obscure Morning Glory are heart-shaped and are 3-9 cm long.
THE FLOWERS
The flowers of the Obscure Morning Glory are small, about 2.5 centimeter in length, pale yellow to white with darker center.
CULINARY USES
The seed of this plant is toxic if ingested, however, the leaves can be cooked and eaten.
TRADITIONAL MEDICINAL USE

The leaf sap is used to treat fits of insanity. A paste of the leaves, combined alcohol, is applied to open sores and pustules. The dried and powdered leaves are used to treat aphthae.
A root decoction is drunk against dysentery.
