White mugwort can be found in the area of the Eco-Logic restaurant and the area of the Social Impact Shop.
The white mugwort, aka pale-flowered wormwood, is a species of flowering plant in the daisy family. It is a vigorous clump-forming herbaceous perennial growing to 1.5 meter, with plumes of creamy-white flower heads appearing in summer and autumn above dark green leaves (lactiflora means "milk-white flowers).
The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine. It is also cultivated as a culinary herb.

THE SHRUB
White Mugwort is a herbaceous, perennial plant producing a cluster of branched stems; it usually grows 50 - 150 centimeter cm tall.
THE LEAVES
White Mugwort has toothed, deep-green leaves with silver undersides on dark purple stems, appear nearly black at the base of the plant.
THE FLOWERS
A perennial of shrub like proportions to 5 feet, it bears masses of tiny creamy white perfumed flowers in late summer in loosely panicle plumes at the end of sprawling reddish stems covered with deeply toothed green leaves.
CULINARY USE
Mugwort leaves are aromatic and slightly bitter, and can be eaten raw or cooked. Young spring shoots can be cooked. Leaves, flowers and roots can be used as a tea. Mugwort was commonly used as a flavouring in beer until hops became popular.

White mugwort is a bitter aromatic tonic herb. The leaves and flowering stems are used internally in traditional Chinese medicine to treat menstrual and liver disorders.
The plant is used in anti-inflammatory medicines. Regular consumption can promote bone growth and improve metabolism, increase appetite and energy, and can help with toothache, hypertension and diabetes prevention.
The plant might be poisonous in large doses.
